How much money could you save if you knew how much electricity you were using at
every moment?
Now any home or small business can reduce energy consumption and save on your electricity bills
with a wireless electricity monitor!
There are a variety of cheap, portable, easy
to read electricity monitors designed for both use in the home and small
office now available in the UK.
What is a wireless energy monitor?
They use a simple clip-on sensor and transmitter inside your existing meter
box to transmit a real time reading of actual power being used, to a portable
LCD display (monitor) inside the home or office. This reading then shows the
cost of electricity being used or potentially being wasted and the amount of
greenhouse gases you are contributing to the environment at any one point in
time.
They can show you instantly:
 |
How much electricity you are using. |
 |
How much it is costing you. |
 |
How much harmful
CO2 you are contributing to the greenhouse effect. |
How does it work?
By knowing which appliances are using a lot of electricity,
you can work out where energy is being wasted and adopt new energy saving
practices, which means you aren't wasting electricity and you are
saving money on your electricity
bills.
By reducing energy wastage, a wireless energy monitor lets you know how much your
electricity is costing allowing you make informed decisions on which appliances
to use, which appliances are costing the most to run and serving as a constant
reminder to turn off unneeded appliances.
Trials have shown savings of up to 25%
of a household's power bills are achievable, reliant on your
household or office changing their energy habits through education and learning
by using the monitor, and therefore individual results will vary.
